Based in Norman Wells · the Sahtú
Video production across the Northwest Territories
Breaking Ice started in Norman Wells in 2022. Since then we’ve filmed in plants and hangars, on winter roads and rivers, in classrooms and community halls across the Sahtú, for organizations like North-Wright Air, Imperial, the Sahtú Divisional Education Council, the Town of Norman Wells and the Sahtu Secretariat.
Working here means planning for fly-in travel, cold-weather gear, short winter days and changing conditions. It also means taking the time to build relationships in each community. That’s the part we care about most.

Where we go from Norman Wells
We reach fly-in and winter-road communities by scheduled flights, charters, winter roads and boats, and plan weather days into every northern shoot. Our cameras and drone are set up for cold-weather work.
